God Has Given Us…

People often tell me that I should do what God “needs” me to do with this life. Yet, never did God say he “needed” Jeli to come to this earth and save anyone from anything. He has everything under control.

So, instead of living my life a certain way because I think God needs me to, I follow this approach:

If you love the Lord, you will learn about who He is.

Now hold on a quick minute. How does that mean the same as doing what he has planned for me? More…

M.A.S.H

In third grade it was the craze to play this game called M.A.S.H.; it was kind of like a peep-hole into your future. If you got the “M” in M.A.S.H., you were going to live in a mansion; the “A,” an apartment; the “S”, a shelter; and the “H”, a house.

Little did I know that although each time I cheered for the huge mansion, the truth was that I was really going to grow up to live in the shelter.

Was Jesus Resurrected?

Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same God.

If these are the three major religions on Earth, and they each serve the same God, there is no doubt that our God is THE God.

I Hate Myself

Sitting in my dorm room last night, I began writing this confession to God about my day. Basically, it came down to this (Mind you, everything I am telling you is the absolute truth):

Today I was cleaning out the many boxes sitting in my basement which have grown smellier by the years and I realized something.

Zechariah

So TAYA readers, recently I have not had patience with those closest to me and it has made me seem cold and distant. I ask that all of you follow me through my journey.

Read: Luke 1:5-22, 57-66. (More specifically: Luke 1:18-20)

Tangible Evidence

Fact A:

We cannot earn salvation through our own works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We as people are not perfect, we are not gods, we are basically nothing on our own. There have been a billion other people before us, and there are a billion other people now, none of which have done anything to make God say, “Thank you man, without you I never would have been able to do that, so come on into heaven”

Hold up, road block…..keep reading the next verse.

Oh, I Love the Way You Hold Me

“Oh, I love the way You hold me, by my side You’ll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way” –Jamie Grace

During worship time at church, if you happened to be staring at me, you would see me with my eyes closed, sporting a stupid, giant grin. More…
