Yes this is a humbling though! It is also a very non American way of thinking. Our country tells us in commercials, classes and countless other medias that we make our destiny and we are number one. God’s thinking is so different.

That is a great reminder that he was in jail, before he was in jail he was a servant we forget that even though he was an honored servant in Potifars house he was still that a servant. So he endured plenty of hardship before everything unfolded.

Remember it is always better to be in the will of God in tough times than outside of God’s will and easy times. The peace, and the joy that comes through being in God’s will is better than anything this world has to offer!

I never thought about the fact that WE are not the center to each of our stories. That is a very humbling thought, and I thank you for it.

Also, it is good to remember that Joseph was in jail for a couple of years. I am sure Joseph didn’t have that on his bucket-list. However, God’s plan is not only unknown to us in content, but we have no idea the timeline he chooses. This ends up being okay though, since God is in control the whole time. What makes this unknowing tolerable is believing that God has got your back the whole time also. He doesn’t abuse those he loves, those who choose to accept his ways, but rather he looks out for them- just like Joseph.
