The Boy and the Girl dated for years and even went to church. Their relationship was growing and they thought they had a good thing going.
The boy had a secret. This secret had not yet surfaced and the girl had no idea what to expect. The boy had an addiction, to women and images that society makes sound so normal. This addiction to pornography started to blur the lines between reality and fantasy and reared its ugly head in their relationship. The problem came to a head and the girl found out. She was shocked, devastated and hurt.
Was this normal? Its so socially acceptable that Its hard to decide if she was in the wrong for feeling this hurt.
What would others think? If our pastor knew would he accept our relationship? Would he think it was worth continuing.
The girl confronted the boy and a close friend provided some light on what God would say about This.
The verse was Matthew 5:28. This verse shared that just looking at a Woman lustfully is wrong so therefore it was something to be fled from.
The boy was heartbroken, he didn’t realize this was a sin or that it would hurt the girl so much. He took extra precautions to stay away from the sin, cutting contact with certain people, and removing things that caused him to stumble on his computer and his telivision. He totally rependted and decided to follow God in this area of his life.
The girl prayed carefully of what to do with the relationship and God let her know it was Ok to stay. The change was genuine and the boy was a worthy one to hold her heart.
Its hard to believe when Boy Hurts Girl that they both walk away strong and closer to one another and to God.
To all my readers I would like you to see that Pornography is a real problem in relationships today. It causes hurt and confusion in relationships. It causes guys to pursue unrealistic desires in their relationships and Women strive to be something they never can.
I also want you to know that through repentance and allowing God to Heal the relationship that this can be overcome. A relationship can be restored.
I am an average woman in my mid 20's who has a heart for Teens. I have worked with my churches youth group for the past 6 years and seen the struggles that Teens face every day. My heart really goes out to them as they try to find their way in a world where anything goes! I married my high school sweet heart in 2004! You will see him on this site also. That is Jimmy! We have been together since our Sophomore year and have always found our selves in some ministry together. We currently serve with our youth group, and have small bible studies in our home. We realized that we had a heart for something much bigger and wanted to reach more with the hope of Jesus Christ. In 2011 We ran into Bob who had an idea for a radio station for Teens after praying and researching what was needed tayaradio.com was born! I am excited to see where this site goes and excited to get to know the readers and help you learn more about yourself and your walk with God.
