Sometimes I get down

Sometimes I Get Down

Even us as Christians will get bogged down by life, or become depressed. This is normal and OK. Our heavenly father knew we were prone to heartache so he filled his love letter to us with encouragement! Here are just a few verses that have helped pull me through those difficult times.

Psalms 71:20-21

Though you have made me see troubles man & bitter you will restore my life again from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up you will increase my honor & comfort me once again. 

This is one of the many encouraging scriptures in Psalms. If your heart is ever broke Psalms is like Gods Holy Aloe. It speaks the raw truth of pain and the Joy and Hope of our God!

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the lord will renew their strength they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint. 

This one is awesome to write inside your notebook on exam week when you feel exhausted like you can’t carry on! God will RENEW your strength! 

Hebrews 4:15-16 

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to Sympathize wit our weakness by we have one who has been tempted in every way just as we are and yet was without sin. let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence that we may receive mercy and find grace and help and trust in our time of need. 

WOW! God has been there too!! how awesome is that?? 

So keep your head up! You are the child of the King and he loves you, weeps with you and wants to help you through this!

I am an average woman in my mid 20's who has a heart for Teens. I have worked with my churches youth group for the past 6 years and seen the struggles that Teens face every day. My heart really goes out to them as they try to find their way in a world where anything goes! I married my high school sweet heart in 2004! You will see him on this site also. That is Jimmy! We have been together since our Sophomore year and have always found our selves in some ministry together. We currently serve with our youth group, and have small bible studies in our home. We realized that we had a heart for something much bigger and wanted to reach more with the hope of Jesus Christ.
