God’s Forgiveness VS Mans Forgiveness
As humans we are not perfect, we mess up pretty often. It can be as simple as a few mis-spoked words or it could be extreme and carries consequesnces that could last a life time. No matter what the mistake, or sin is God forgives us. He gives us countless 2nd chances if we continue to return to him.
Isaiah 44:22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you
When I am Scared
Sometimes, particularly when my health is invovled I revert back to childhood and become very fearful. I just want reassurance that it’s going to be OK and to be held in comforting arms. But, as an adult it is more complex than just crawling into Dad’s lap during a thunderstorm or falling asleep while mom gently runs her fingers th rough my hair and says it will be OK.
Hope
Hope is a powerful thing. It can keep us going in the bleakest situation, can drive us to survive horrible situations and keep joy in our hearts through thick and thin.
I’ve been thinking a lot about hope pondering over Proverbs 13:12, a hope deffered makes the heart sick, a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. So hope is a powerful thing, and can destroy us when it is deffered or no more.
Be Still
With the latest news of the Boston bombing and the thoughts of Sandy Hook still lingering in our countries mind and growing unrest in the middle east it is easy to be stricken with anxiety, fear and uncertainty. It is easy to be scared and depressed wondering where this world is going and what is going to happen.
Just Let Go
I am a very structured person. Some people may even go as far as to say a control freak. I like to know all the details before going into a situation so that I can plan for them. Unfortunately life does not seem to work that way. There are constant curve balls thrown at you.
So Stressed Out!!!
Today my day did not start as planned, immediately after walking into the office and life is a cauotic mix of small fires to put out, and problems to be solved. My emotions are a rollercoaster as as we have had a few tragedies in our family. Not to mention the every day swings in friendships and day to day life.
Use Your Suffering
Life often throws hard times at us and suffering. When we suffer Christ comes to our aid and he provides comfort and strength to get through the hard times.

Romans 8:28 All things worth together for good for those who love him and have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 is a great verse and a great source of comfort in diffiult situtations. If you have been aroudn the church for a while you have probably been quoted this verse when you were facing one of the tough times in life. More…
In This Life we Will Struggle
This Past week I have spent it sitting next to a loved one in the hospital and I’ve been remind that in this life we will struggle. It can be with health, Friends, finances or even persecution. These Struggles remind us that this world is not our home and we should not get too cozy here.
Just Relax
If you ask my friends and family you will quickly find out the words “Just Relax” are easier said then done. I am a fairly high strung person who has made an art of worrying. As I was reading through God’s word I found that this was not the way we as Christians are supposed to live.
