Pray For Our Country
This weekend my pastor gave a message based on Hosea 14:1-9. This passage of scripture talks about the Isreal and the dire place they are in. It talks of their lostness and the pain and brokeness their land is experiencing because of Their sin.
Our pastor drew some parallels between Iseral and America and issued us a challenge and I enjoyed it so much I want to pass it along to all of you!
In The Last Days
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last
days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous rash, conceited lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. having a form of godliness but denying it’s power. Have nothing to do with them.
I bet you thought I was describing a day at your school. Nope! I’m copying the words out of my Bible that can be found in 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Traits of A Christian
So often we as Christians take our salvation for granted and use it as no more than fire insurance. Christians are called to a relationship of constant growing and learning.

There are so many prophesies and predictions about the end of the world. Many people believe that we are in the end times. If you read the Bible you will find many prophesies that would confirm this. The statemetn “worship God not man” seems simple enough doesn’t it? But, lets really look at something. How often do you find yourself quoting a specific book, Preacher or religous teacher? Do you ever start aquating all of your spiritual growth to a specific organization, study group or retreat?
These are some signs that our worship may be slightly shifting from God to man.
Look At The Heart
When a person comes to know Christ as their personal lord and savior it is the beginning of a heart to heart realationship. Each persons relationship may look a little different as God meets each person where they are and walks through their highly personal jounrney with them, convicting them at differnt times about what they should change in their life.
This is much differnt then the system that we find in the Old testimate. There were a list of rules and a list of consequences if those rules are broken.
Be The Good Samaratin
In Luke 10: 25-37 When Jesus is asked about loving your neighbor he tells the elaborate story of the Good Samratin. Most of you are familiar with this Story. A Jewish man is badly beaten and two people of his own race pass him by leaving him to die. The person who comes to his rescue is a samaratin. The most hated race of a Jew. He goes out of his way to help the man. It didn’t matter that it was socially inacceptable, expensive or inconvenient, it was the right thing to do.
