Meet Esther
During this time the Persian kingdom was ruled by King Xerxes. King Xerxes threw a very large banquet that lasted for days, everybody who was anybody attended this banquet. During this banquet he called his wife Vashti out to entertain his guest, she was appalled by this request and refused to fulfill her Husband the Kings wishes. Xerxes burned with anger and and humiliation and had her put to death.
Meet Ruth
Naomi found herself windowed and Childless. When she moved she had moved with her husband and two adult sons. They were all happily married and enjoying life. Then Tragedy hit.
Naomi had two sweet daughter in laws that she loved very much, but knew she could not support them and didn’t want them to move away from their families so she told them to stay before she moved back home to her Jewish family.
